Although the summer solstice is still a few weeks away, the slew of seasonal caffeinated concoctions has already begun to debut; first, Starbucks gave us its S'mores and Caramel Waffle Cone Frappuccino blended beverages. Now, it's serving up a "stop-you-in-your-tracks avalanche of fudgy goodness."

As of June 11, the new Double Double Fudge Bar Frappuccino is available for purchase in participating Starbucks stores across the U.S. and Canada.

Described by Starbucks as "a quintessential and cool summer treat”, the beverage — which is made with a “double dose” of mocha sauce combined with vanilla syrup, milk, ice, and optional coffee, and then blended and topped off with chocolaty whipped cream — is highly evocative of the old summertime staple Fudgsicle.

According to the press release, the new frap will be available for “the next few weeks.” After that, it’s back to digging through your grandparent’s freezer for an expired box of fudge pops.
